The Center for Dairy Excellence is hosting a "Protecting Your Profits" webinar on March 21st, from 12-1 p.m., focusing on the Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) program.
Michael Sherman, USDA Farm Service Agency's Outreach Specialist, will guide dairy farmers through the program's essentials and enrollment process for 2025, with a March 31st deadline.
“If you’re looking to find a safety net and protect your margin in a marketplace that seems to always be shifting, the DMC program is a risk management option that’s intended to serve as that safety net. It can protect against volatility in either your milk price or in the price you are paying for your feed,” said Valerie Mason-Faith, Risk Education Manager at the Center. “This webinar should offer a helpful snapshot of what dairy producers need to know about enrolling in the DMC program and protecting their margin in a volatile marketplace.”
Sherman will discuss eligibility, production history, coverage levels, fees, and sign-up reminders. He will also address participant questions.
The webinar is accessible via webinar, podcast, and conference call, at no cost and without registration.
