The 2027 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit will take place February 3-4, 2027, at the Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center in State College, Pennsylvania.
The annual event, organized by the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania and the Center for Dairy Excellence, will bring together dairy producers and industry professionals to discuss opportunities for business development, innovation, and long-term growth in the state's dairy sector.
The conference is designed to help dairy farmers explore new approaches, exchange experiences, and identify strategies to strengthen their operations.
Topics will include increasing milk production per cow, adopting new technologies, making farm investments, preparing the next generation for leadership, and expanding existing businesses.
“Are you ready to try something new? From investment projects to strategies for boosting milk production per cow and incorporating new technology to broader plans like bringing in the next generation or finding ways to grow internally, the speakers at the 2027 PA Dairy Summit will inspire you to find the steps to take your dairy to the next level,” said Jeff Nissley, the 2027 PA Dairy Summit Chair and dairy farmer from Dauphin County, Pa.
“With producer panels and discussion groups with other farmers, come with fresh mind to explore what strategies others are using to move their businesses forward. Not only that, but you can expect to see the dairy industry from a larger vantage point and better understand your stewardship role in producing nutritious food for the world.”
The keynote program will feature several industry-focused presentations, including David Okerlund's Navigating Change; an innovation showcase featuring Apple Shamrock Dairy, recognized as IDFA Innovator of the Year; and Paint the Walls with Chobani!
The agenda will also include Reviewing Reform: Where FMMO Has Landed at the Farm Gate, presented by Chuck Nicholson, and The Dynamics of Demand, featuring Will Loux, Shawna Morris, and Katie Brown.
Additional programming will offer educational and networking opportunities for dairy teams of different sizes and production systems. A dedicated animal care track, available in Spanish, will help participants work toward FARM certification.
Peer-to-peer discussion groups will provide opportunities for farmers to exchange practical experiences and ideas.
Other activities will include breakout sessions covering business growth, operational changes, animal care, and farm finances. Producer panels will provide practical perspectives on managing evolving industry challenges. An evening reception and after-party will give attendees additional opportunities to connect with colleagues.
