The Pennsylvania Sheep Shearing School is set to take place from April 24-26, 2025, at Wherry Farm in Scenery Hill, Pennsylvania.
This hands-on workshop is designed to help both beginners and experienced shearers refine their skills and build confidence in sheep shearing techniques.
The event begins with a virtual Zoom session on Thursday evening, where participants will discuss shearing techniques with instructor Austin.
This session will also review a series of instructional YouTube videos that registrants will receive upon signing up. The insights gained from these videos will be applied during the in-person training sessions.
On Friday, attendees will gather for a full day of hands-on instruction covering essential skills such as professional shearing patterns, equipment setup, maintenance, and wool handling.
Those looking for more in-depth training can opt for an additional advanced session on Saturday, all included in one registration fee.
This program is ideal for individuals wanting to develop shearing techniques, understand their equipment, and learn best practices for wool handling and basic sheep care. It also provides an excellent networking opportunity for sheep producers across Pennsylvania.
Preregistration is required, with a deadline of April 21, 2025, at 11:45 p.m. To participate and receive webinar access, interested individuals must register in advance.
