While pumpkin patches can be found in every state, only the country's top patches offer gourds and good times, according to TimeOut. That's why it's no surprise that Linvilla Orchards in Media, Pennsylvania, made the list of the best pumpkin patches in the country.
Located just a short distance from Philadelphia, Linvilla Orchards is a 300-acre family-owned property with a swim club on the grounds. The pumpkin patch section is appropriately named "Pumpkinland," and it's open from September through early November.
With over 100 tons of pumpkins on display, you're sure to find the perfect one to carve or bake into a delicious pie. The area is also highly decorated in Halloween décor, including scarecrows and signs sharing historical facts about pumpkins and apples.
At night, take a hayride to the Witch's House to visit a friendly witch in the woods who tells stories and jokes. The autumn moon hayride takes you on a 20-minute loop around the orchard and concludes at a campfire where you can roast marshmallows and enjoy apple cider.
In addition to the pumpkin patch and hayrides, Linvilla Orchards also offers a variety of other fall activities, such as corn mazes, apple picking, and wagon rides. You can also find a variety of fresh produce and baked goods at the farm market.
Whether you're looking for a fun-filled family outing or the perfect pumpkin to carve, Linvilla Orchards is the place to go.
