The Center for Dairy Excellence has been recognized for its outstanding contributions to agricultural literacy by the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation.
The organization received the Partnership in Ag Literacy Award at the Foundation's annual meeting, held on November 19th in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The Center for Dairy Excellence has been instrumental in promoting agricultural education through a variety of programs. Their "Adopt A Cow" program has reached over 40,000 classrooms, connecting students with the dairy industry.
The "Dairy Leaders of Tomorrow" program encourages high school students to pursue careers in dairy, while "Discover Dairy" offers interactive classroom lessons and virtual farm tours.
The Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation is submitting the Center for Dairy Excellence for the National Ag in the Classroom Organization's national award, recognizing the significant impact of their work.
“The Center for Dairy Excellence has made extraordinary strides in advancing agricultural literacy, and we are honored to recognize their unwavering commitment to education,” said Chris Hoffman, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation Board. “Their dedication to spreading awareness and understanding of the dairy industry is vital to our mission of promoting agriculture across the state.”
The Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation is committed to promoting agricultural understanding and supporting organizations that make a difference.
Through initiatives like the Mobile Ag Lab, Ag Literacy Week, and the Educator's Ag Institute, the Foundation strives to connect people to the world of agriculture.
