Boost Your Sheep and Goat Management Skills

By Blake Jackson

Small ruminant producers in Pennsylvania will have an opportunity to expand their knowledge and connect with industry experts at the upcoming Sheep and Goat Small Group Gathering.

Hosted by Penn State Extension, this quarterly event is scheduled for April 2, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Penn State Extension Mercer County office, located at 463 N Perry Highway, Mercer, PA.

Designed for sheep and goat producers of all experience levels whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced the gathering aims to provide valuable insights into small ruminant management.

Each session focuses on topics relevant to local producers, with discussions shaped by the needs and interests of attendees. Participants will have the chance to exchange ideas, learn from peers, and engage with industry representatives to gain practical knowledge that can benefit their operations.

An open discussion will conclude the meeting, allowing attendees to share experiences and provide input for future gatherings.

This interactive format ensures that each session remains relevant and beneficial to the evolving needs of the small ruminant community.

Interested participants must register by April 1, 2025, at 11:45 PM. For more details on the discussion topics and to register, visit the Penn State Extension website. Don’t miss this opportunity to strengthen your network and enhance your livestock management skills.
