On August 20, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET), Penn State Extension will host its fourth annual Solar Law Symposium, focusing on the impacts of solar development on rural areas.
The event, held virtually, will feature a session co-presented by Center Staff Attorney Brook Duer, who will share insights from Penn State research on this topic.
The symposium is a key event for attorneys and energy professionals with varying levels of expertise in solar law. Co-sponsored by Penn State Extension, the Penn State Center for Energy Law and Policy, and the Penn State Center for Agricultural and Shale Law, the symposium offers a comprehensive look into grid-scale solar development, advancements in merchant-generator photovoltaic electricity production, and the latest research on rural solar impacts.
Participants will gain valuable knowledge and earn four hours of substantive Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.
The event is designed for both those new to solar law and those with intermediate knowledge, providing a platform for learning and professional development.
To register, participants can choose between two options: $119 for CLE credits or $69 without credits. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of solar law and its effects on rural communities.
