The Penn State Livestock Judging Team showcased their skills at their hometown event during the Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE), held from September 26 to October 5, 2025, achieving impressive results in a highly competitive environment.
The Nittany Lions secured 5th place overall as a team, with strong performances in individual divisions, including 4th place in sheep and goats and 5th place in reasons. The team demonstrated consistent judging ability across multiple livestock categories, reflecting their dedication and preparation.
Individually, Megan Zipprich stood out with a 5th-place overall finish. She placed 10th in both cattle and sheep and goats divisions and earned 8th place in reasons. Sydney Phipps also delivered a strong performance, finishing 7th overall, including 9th in cattle and 5th in sheep and goats.
Maddie Pimm earned recognition with a 12th-place finish in the sheep and goats division, while Dave Schultheis ranked 20th overall, with placements of 17th in sheep and goats, 19th in swine, and 16th in reasons.
The team expressed gratitude to the KILE volunteers for coordinating the event and to the exhibitors who provided livestock, which allowed students to gain hands-on experience. The results reflect the team’s ongoing commitment to excellence and the strength of Penn State’s livestock judging program.
