The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau (PFB) testified before the state legislature on Monday about crop damage, deer population, and trespassing issues on farms.
PFB Chairman Andy Bater said that the organization is concerned about the scope of crop damage in Pennsylvania and the need for better data on the state's deer population. He also said that the number of hunters in Pennsylvania is decreasing, and that trespassing on farms is a problem.
Bater called for collaboration between the PFB, the Game Commission, and the state legislature to manage wildlife damage on farms across the Commonwealth.
