PA Ag & Youth Grants Invest in the future of agriculture

PA Ag & Youth Grants Invest in the future of agriculture

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for $500,000 in grants to organizations that are working to prepare youth for careers in agriculture.

The grants can be used to support projects that promote agriculture, community leadership, vocational training, and peer networking. Past funded projects have included agriculture career seminars and field trips, agricultural safety training, capital projects, and equipment purchases.

Grants of up to $7,500 are available for direct funding, and matching grants of up to $25,000 are available for projects that involve youth-run organizations.

Applications must be submitted online by September 29, 2023. For more information, visit the PA Farm Bill Ag & Youth Grants website.

These grants are part of Governor Josh Shapiro's commitment to making sure that young people can pursue careers in agriculture. The agriculture industry is a $132.5 billion industry in Pennsylvania, and it is important to invest in the future workforce.

These grants will help to ensure that young people have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in agriculture careers. They will also help to promote agriculture education and awareness among youth.

If you are interested in applying for a PA Farm Bill Ag & Youth Grant, I encourage you to visit the website and learn more/. These grants are a great opportunity to support youth and agriculture in Pennsylvania.
