Maple Hill Creamery, a New York-based organic dairy, is expanding its operations to Central Pennsylvania. The company plans to add 14 new farms to its existing network of 120, aiming to increase its supply of 100% grass-fed organic dairy products.
These new farms will be managed by farmers committed to sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices. Each farm will have an average herd of 50 cows, ensuring high-quality milk for Maple Hill's products.
Springwood Organic Farm in Kinzers, owned by the Stoltzfoos family, is the first to join the expansion. The Stoltzfoos family has a long history of organic and grass-fed dairy farming.
“We are thrilled to expand our operations into Pennsylvania and welcome these new farmers into the Maple Hill Creamery family,” said Tim Joseph, founder of Maple Hill Creamery, in a statement. “Our commitment to 100% grass-fed organic dairy is stronger than ever, and we are proud to support farmers who share our values and dedication to sustainable farming practices. We are especially honored to partner with the Stoltzfoos family and enlist their support as we continue to build out our best-in-class network of farms.”
Maple Hill Creamery is actively seeking additional Pennsylvania farmers interested in transitioning to 100% grass-fed organic farming. The company aims to strengthen its supply chain and increase the availability of its grass-fed organic dairy products to consumers.
The new Pennsylvania farms are expected to begin production in the third quarter of this year. Maple Hill Creamery is committed to working with farmers who are already practicing or transitioning to 100% grass-fed organic farming methods.
