The 2025 Farmers Market Manager Conference is set to be held virtually, continuing its tradition of uniting market managers, vendors, and industry experts from across the Commonwealth.
The conference will take place on Fridays, March 7, 14, 21, and 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Zoom. Each session will focus on different topics relevant to today’s farmers markets.
Building on the success of previous virtual events, this year’s conference promises to offer an even more engaging and informative experience.
The agenda, curated by the Conference Planning Committee, will feature interactive workshops and networking opportunities designed to address the diverse challenges and opportunities faced by farmers markets.
"We are excited to host the conference virtually again this year," said Brian Moyer, who leads the PA Farm Markets program for Penn State Extension. "The virtual format allows us to reach a wider audience and provide valuable resources and connections to market managers who might not be able to attend in person."
Some key highlights of the 2025 conference include:
- Market Funding: Creative opportunities for funding market infrastructure
- Agency Updates: Information on programs like FMNP and SNAP
- Networking Sessions: Opportunities to connect with peers and industry professionals
- Market Management Topics: Discussions on volunteer management, community relations, and the unique challenges of rural vs. urban markets
Registration for the conference will open in January, and attendees can look forward to gaining valuable insights and connections to help them succeed in the farmers market industry.
