Invitation to Pennsylvania Pork Producers: Participate in the Election of National Pork Producers Delegates

The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau office in Camp Hill is set to host the election of pork producer delegate candidates for the 2024 National Pork Producers (Pork Act) Delegate body on June 15 at 6:45 p.m. The election will take place alongside a Board of Directors meeting of the Pennsylvania Pork Producers Council. The event aims to provide an opportunity for all pork producers in the state to engage in the decision-making process and actively participate in shaping the future of the pork industry.

Producers who meet the eligibility criteria, including being a resident of Pennsylvania, at least 18 years old, and having paid all assessments, may be considered as delegate candidates and can take part in the election. It is encouraged that eligible producers bring a sales receipt as proof of hog sales made in their name, along with evidence of the checkoff deduction.

The election presents a chance for pork producers to contribute to the selection of delegates who will represent their interests and concerns at the national level. Being a delegate offers the opportunity to influence policy decisions, advocate for the industry, and drive positive change. All producers, regardless of operation size, are encouraged to participate and make their voices heard.

For further information about the election and the delegate selection process, interested individuals can contact Courtney Gray, who can be reached at cgray@papork.com or 570-884-4369.

This election serves as a crucial platform for Pennsylvania pork producers to actively shape the direction of their industry and ensure their voices are heard in national discussions. By participating in the election process, producers can collectively work towards a stronger and more prosperous pork sector that addresses the needs and challenges of the state's producers.
