Franklin Co. Fleeces Opponents in 43rd Annual Sheep to Shawl Contest

In this annual Farm Show fan favorite, competitors faced off from behind their looms to create amazing works of art, made right on the spot from recently shorn sheep wool. Friends Through Fiber of Franklin County claimed top prize of the Sheep to Shawl contest. Members of this team included; Dan Dailey, Carolyn Stratton, Joyce Mellott, Jill Schooley, Julie Shindle, and Michelle Lushbaugh.

Team Friends Through Fiber was also awarded the team's choice award and the weaver's award. The winning shawl fetched $2,700 in the post-event auction. Twisted Sisters' fifth-place shawl brought in $3,200.
