The Pennsylvania Dairy Managers & Producers (PDMP) is set to host its Fall Forum, “Milking the Future: The Dairy Economy and Your Bottom Line,” on Thursday, November 6, at the PA Farm Show Commonwealth Room in Harrisburg.
This year’s forum will feature internationally recognized economist and author Corey Geiger, who will present an engaging and informative overview of today’s dairy economy. With volatile trade, workforce and pricing policies, fluctuating input costs, and shifting consumer trends, Geiger’s insights aim to help dairy professionals navigate a challenging economic landscape.
“All professionals in the dairy industry whether dairy producers, processors, or allied businesses must stay informed about the economic forces shaping our future,” said PDMP President and dairy producer Allen Behrer.
“This forum is designed to deliver exactly that: timely, relevant, and actionable insights to help us forecast our operational needs moving forward.”
In addition to Geiger’s presentation, the event includes a networking lunch, providing attendees with the opportunity to connect with peers, exchange strategies, and strengthen industry relationships.
Registration is $35 for non-members, which includes lunch. Attendees can register in advance through the Upcoming Events tab at www.pdmp.org. For additional information, contact PDMP at info@pdmp.org or call 877-326-5993.
Corey Geiger serves as Lead Dairy Economist for CoBank, a major credit provider to the dairy industry. Before joining the Farm Credit System, Geiger spent nearly 30 years as an editor for Hoard’s Dairyman, traveling extensively across the U.S. and internationally to share dairy management and policy insights.
A six-generation farmer and award-winning author, he has held leadership roles with the National Dairy Shrine, Wisconsin Holstein Association, Holstein Association USA, and contributed to organizations such as the Council on Dairy Cattle Breeding and World Dairy Expo.
