Penn State Extension, the Master Well Owner Network, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, along with several sponsors and partners, are excited to announce the 2025 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium, set for Wednesday, May 7, in Harrisburg.
This annual event serves as a vital platform for researchers, students, professionals, and educators in the groundwater field to exchange knowledge and promote the protection of groundwater resources across the state.
The symposium will be held at the Best Western Premier Hotel and Conference Center in suburban Harrisburg.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in plenary and concurrent sessions that address critical groundwater issues impacting Pennsylvania.
Continuing education credits will be available for participants who attend the sessions throughout the day.
The full agenda and registration details will be available in March. In addition, a call for presenters is now open, inviting abstracts for presentations related to a wide range of groundwater topics.
These include groundwater monitoring, climate impacts, emerging contaminants, aquifer studies, and water policy.
Researchers, consultants, students, and educators working in the field of groundwater are encouraged to submit their abstracts by the February 28, 2025, deadline.
To submit an abstract, presenters should follow the provided guidelines, ensuring their submission does not exceed 200 words and is written in English.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the conference planning committee, and authors will be notified of acceptance by March 14, 2025.
