The 2025 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit will focus on the theme of discovering and staying committed to your “True North,” emphasizing how purpose can guide decision-making and passion can drive progress.
Organized by the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania (PDMP) and the Center for Dairy Excellence, the event will take place February 4-5, 2026, at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg Hershey in Grantville, Pennsylvania.
With support from grants, PDMP, and generous sponsors, the Summit aims to keep registration affordable for dairy farmers. Producers can attend the full two-day program for $100, with a single-day option available for $50. Registration for the in-person event is now open.
A major highlight of this year’s Summit will be the Pennsylvania debut of World Without Cows, a feature-length documentary. The film examines the deeper implications of the question: Are we better off in a world without cows? Through interviews with farmers, scientists, ranchers, and experts across the globe, award-winning journalists Michelle Michael and Brandon Whitworth explore cattle’s role in agriculture, ecosystems, and human societies.
Attendees will be treated to a special screening on Wednesday evening, included with registration. The following morning, the filmmakers and Dr. Holder Vaughn will lead a keynote session, “World Without Cows - A Deeper Dive Behind the Scenes,” sharing insights from their journey to 40 locations worldwide.
“Our annual Dairy Summit conference brings together dairy producers and allied-industry representatives who want to grow their skillsets and network with individuals across the dairy industry," said Erica Mowrer, the 2026 PA Dairy Summit Chair and dairy farmer from Huntingdon County, Pa.
"We’re looking forward to seeing this powerful documentary and hearing firsthand from the filmographers and scientists who created it. This should be an insightful and thought-provoking conversation about the impact of cattle on economies, ecosystems, cultures and human nutrition.”
Beyond the documentary, the Summit will feature an array of keynote speakers, including Michael Hoffman, Brody Stapel, and several producer and business panels. Attendees can also participate in breakout sessions and peer discussion groups designed to share practical knowledge.
