Vylor Brand Unveiled for Corteva Seed Unit

By Jamie Martin

Corteva has announced that its advanced seed and genetics business will operate under the name Vylor Inc. The business was earlier referred to as SpinCo and is expected to separate from Corteva in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Vylor will focus on innovation in plant genetics and seed development. The company brings together over 4,000 germplasm patents and more than 2,000 biotechnology patents, forming a strong scientific foundation for future agricultural products.

Its research pipeline includes hybrid wheat, advanced gene editing technologies, disease resistant corn varieties, and biofuel-related crop innovations. These solutions are designed to support farmers while addressing global food and energy demands.

The company aims to build its scientific expertise to strengthen existing seed offerings. Vylor will also explore growth across new row crops and future agricultural areas where advanced genetics can add value.

The brand identity reflects the company’s focus on genetics and innovation. Design elements highlight the role of plant chromosomes, while brand colors recognize its agricultural heritage.

"Vylor traces its roots back a century, to a single idea: that innovation could transform agriculture, and with it, the world. This belief - in the power of science to advance agriculture and help farmers feed and fuel a growing population - remains our North Star," said future Vylor CEO Chuck Magro.

"From food security to energy security, powered by groundbreaking technology, elite germplasm and an advanced product portfolio, Vylor will be uniquely positioned to help solve some of the world's toughest challenges. The new brand reflects both this ambition and the determination to achieve it," said Magro.

At launch, Vylor will operate with the largest seed production system globally. Its brands hold leading market positions for key crops across many farming regions.
