Pennsylvania Hosts 2026 Ag Conservation Conference

By Blake Jackson

Agricultural and conservation professionals from across Pennsylvania are invited to attend the 2026 Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) Ag Conservation Con, scheduled for September 15-17, 2026, at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

The annual conference will provide a valuable opportunity for education, collaboration, and professional networking among individuals dedicated to advancing agricultural conservation.

The event is expected to attract conservation district employees, engineers, technical service providers, educators, agency representatives, industry experts, and agricultural professionals from across the state.

Participants will have access to a wide variety of breakout sessions, interactive learning experiences, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen conservation efforts and encourage the exchange of practical ideas.

Conference sessions will cover a broad range of topics, including grazing systems, conservation planning, engineering support, manure management, forestry stewardship, agricultural runoff reduction, leadership development, and staff training.

Programs are designed to benefit both newcomers to the field and experienced professionals seeking new approaches and updated information.

In addition to classroom-style sessions, attendees can participate in regional ACAP discussions, field tours, and site visits that highlight successful conservation projects and provide firsthand insight into effective management practices.

One of the featured speakers will be Troy Bishopp of the National Grazing Lands Coalition, widely recognized as “The Grass Whisperer.”

Bishopp presentations focus on regenerative grazing, farm profitability, and sustainable land management while combining practical experience with engaging storytelling.

The conference also includes several networking activities, such as a sponsor reception, conservation trivia, social gatherings, and the ACAP Awards Banquet, which honors outstanding achievements in agricultural conservation.

A poster session will allow participants to showcase innovative projects, partnerships, and conservation successes while encouraging knowledge sharing among peers.

The 2026 ACAP Ag Conservation Con continues to serve as an important forum for strengthening partnerships and advancing conservation practices throughout Pennsylvania’s agricultural community.
