Pennsylvania maple map - your guide to local syrup

By Blake Jackson

Pennsylvania has launched a new online tool to help you find the best locally produced maple products. The PA Maple Map, a collaborative effort between the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and industry partners, connects consumers directly with PA maple syrup producers, restaurants, and retailers.

“The beauty and tastes of fall in Pennsylvania are second to none,” said Secretary Redding. “We hope you’ll use the new PA Maple Map as a tool to sweeten your fall travel and flavor your everyday life. The small-business ingenuity and vision of Pennsylvania farms is why we are a national leader, and why the Shapiro Administration is investing in keeping Pennsylvania agriculture at the top.”

The user-friendly map allows you to explore by location or filter results by county or product. Whether you're searching for a jug of pure maple syrup, a delicious maple-infused dish at a local restaurant, or a farm experience, the PA Maple Map has something for everyone.

Pennsylvania boasts a thriving maple syrup industry, ranking sixth nationally in production. With nearly 300 farms producing maple syrup for sale and over 790,000 trees tapped, PA farms produced 205,000 gallons of maple syrup in 2023, valued at over $7.5 million. Notably, 46 farms across the state achieved maple syrup sales exceeding $50,000.

Governor Josh Shapiro's economic development strategy prioritizes agriculture, recognizing its significance to the state's future.

The PA Maple Map serves as an example of this commitment, promoting local businesses and highlighting the value of Pennsylvania-produced goods.

Beyond its delicious taste, maple syrup offers a range of health benefits. Packed with antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins, it's a natural sweetener that can be enjoyed in countless ways.
