Pennsylvania Farm Show Launches Anthem Singing Contest

Pennsylvania Farm Show Launches Anthem Singing Contest

By Blake Jackson

Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding is calling on residents across the state to showcase their talent in the annual “Oh, Say, Can You Sing?” competition for a chance to perform live at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show - the Pennsylvania State Fair.

From January 10-17, 2026, each day of the Farm Show will begin with a live rendition of the national anthem by a selected winner. Contest winners may also be invited to sing during special events and competitions throughout the week.

“Our 2026 Farm Show theme is Growing A Nation," Secretary Redding said. "There is no better way to start each day of the Pennsylvania Farm Show than with a reminder that our democracy was born in Pennsylvania and our country grown from the very soil of our Commonwealth.”

The competition is open to Pennsylvania residents of all ages, both individuals and groups. To enter, participants must email a YouTube link of themselves singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” a cappella to agcontests@pa.gov by 11:59 p.m. on November 24, 2025.

Entries will be posted on the Pennsylvania Farm Show Facebook page for fan voting via reactions (likes, loves, wows, etc.) from November 26 through December 2. Twelve finalists will then be announced and notified of their scheduled performance dates.

Each winner will receive a free parking pass and must arrive by 7:30 a.m. to perform live at 8:00 a.m. Contest details and guidelines are available at farmshow.pa.gov.
