Optimize Calf Health and Profits - Attend This Free Event!

By Blake Jackson

Beef producers looking to enhance their calf management skills are invited to attend the Kick Starting the Calf for Success workshop, scheduled for April 5, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Heritage Hill Farm, Clarksburg, Pennsylvania.

This free, in-person event offers valuable insights and hands-on learning opportunities to help producers optimize calf health, management, and profitability.

Organized to support beef, cow-calf, and beef-on-dairy producers, this half-day program will focus on essential aspects of calf care.

Attendees will learn best practices for maintaining cow health before calving, keeping accurate calf health records, and implementing effective feeding, weaning, and marketing strategies. By applying these techniques, producers can improve operational efficiency and economic returns.

A highlight of the event is the interactive, hands-on experience, allowing participants to engage directly with experts and industry professionals. Sessions will provide practical knowledge that can be immediately implemented on farms.

Additionally, lunch will be provided, courtesy of the Center for Beef Excellence. The event is free of charge, but registration is required by April 3, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

For those in the beef industry, this workshop is an excellent opportunity to enhance calf management skills and network with fellow producers. Don’t miss out on this valuable learning experience!
