The Center for Dairy Excellence and Penn State Extension have launched the 2025 Dairy Producer Survey to assess the impact of recent industry changes on Pennsylvania dairy farms.
Dairy producers are invited to participate by April 30, 2025, with the collected data informing future support programs.
“Pennsylvania’s dairy farm families produce a fresh, local supply of dairy products and contribute valuable economic revenue while operating in an ever-changing business environment,” said Valerie Mason-Faith, Risk Education Manager at the Center. “By taking a few minutes to share your thoughts about these dynamics in this survey, your input will impact how we develop future grants, programs and resources for you and other dairy producers.”
The survey covers key areas of dairy farm operations, including demographics, marketing, employee protocols, facilities, future plans, investments, risk management, biosecurity, and climate-smart initiatives. It aims to understand how these factors affect Pennsylvania’s dairy producers.
All responses will remain anonymous and take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participants can complete the survey online at https://www.centerfordairyexcellence.org/2025-dairy-producer-survey/ or print and mail it back to the Center for Dairy Excellence.
For questions, contact Valerie Mason-Faith at vmason@centerfordairyexcellence.org or (717) 550-8720. This survey provides a crucial opportunity for Pennsylvania dairy farmers to shape the future of industry support.
