The Center for Dairy Excellence will kick off a free “Protecting Your Profits” webinar on Friday, January 23, from 12 to 1 p.m., titled “From Surviving to Thriving: Navigating Downturns and Knowing Your Numbers.”
The session will focus on helping dairy producers better understand their financial position and make informed decisions that support long-term farm sustainability.
The featured speaker will be Ava Hasbrook, a Business Coach with Legacy Farmer, who will walk participants through practical ways to evaluate their current financial resources and forecast long-term stability.
Hasbrook will discuss how dairy farmers can assess liquidity and solvency, plan strategically during economic downturns, and make investments today that strengthen their farm’s future.
The webinar will also explore the difference between short-term survival and long-term growth, emphasizing how understanding key financial metrics can guide better decision-making.
“As we welcome a new year, and continue to navigate an ever-changing dairy marketplace, now is the perfect time to set aside an hour and join us for this free webinar with a financial expert and business coach,” said Valerie Mason-Faith, Risk Education Manager at the Center.
“Our speaker plans to help dairy producers flip the script and go from surviving to thriving when it comes to your farm financials. She’ll also offer insight on how to navigate economic downturns with your current funds while still finding a way to plan for the future.”
During the webinar, participants will learn how to evaluate liquidity, measure long-term financial strength, manage downturns using existing resources, and make strategic investments that impact farm viability over the next decade.
The event will be offered in both webinar and conference call formats. There is no cost to attend, and registration is not required. Participants can join online at www.centerfordairyexcellence.org/JanuaryPYP or by dialing +1 305-224-1968 using Meeting ID 818 1620 3327 and Passcode 620997.
