CLAAS and Butler announce Dakota dealership transition

CLAAS and Butler announce Dakota dealership transition

By Jamie Martin

CLAAS, a leader in agricultural machinery, and Butler Machinery Company have jointly announced transition plans for their dealership operations in the Dakotas, marking a significant milestone in their 25-year partnership. This transition will ensure that CLAAS customers in the region continue to receive seamless service and parts support as new dealerships are established.

Eric Raby, Senior Vice President of CLAAS Americas Region, emphasized the commitment to a smooth transition, stating, "Our number one priority for CLAAS customers is a smooth transition from one dealer to another." Butler will continue to sell and service CLAAS equipment until the end of 2026, ensuring no interruption in support for customers.

The transition includes hosting a virtual town hall meeting to engage with CLAAS equipment owners, address their concerns, and gather feedback on the process. The specifics of this meeting will be announced soon, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and prepared.

CLAAS is expanding its presence in the region with the introduction of new dealerships, including a company-owned FARMPOINT location in North Dakota. This expansion is set to include a comprehensive range of CLAAS products, starting with tractors and eventually encompassing the full product line by January 2025.

Christoph Tetzlaff, Vice President Dealer & Network Development of CLAAS Americas Region, shared his confidence in the plan, noting, "CLAAS is here for our customers. I am confident this transition will lead to continued coverage and a great CLAAS experience in the future."

This strategic development signifies a pivotal growth phase for CLAAS in North America, ensuring that farmers in the Dakotas have access to top-tier agricultural machinery and support.
