Established in 2024, the award commemorates Janet Harding Ruslavage’s legacy of leadership and commitment to dairy.

The selected recipient will receive a $3,000 cash prize and will be recognized at the Pennsylvania Dairy Princess State Pageant in September.

To be eligible, nominees must:

  • Have graduated from high school
  • Be pursuing a career related to the dairy industry

The award seeks to honor individuals with qualities such as servant leadership, integrity, a positive and helpful attitude, strong work ethic, compassion, and a deep passion for dairy.

The selection committee will look for those who actively contribute to the dairy industry in meaningful ways.

Examples of qualifying service include:

  • Participating in dairy promotion efforts
