The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement invites students interested in agriculture to apply for its 2026 scholarship program. The Foundation plans to award at least $350,000 in scholarships, with individual awards of up to $10,000 each.
This program supports students preparing for a variety of careers in agriculture, from production and agribusiness to research and technology. It is open to high school seniors, trade and technical school students, and students already enrolled in two- or four-year undergraduate or graduate programs.
To qualify, applicants must live within Horizon Farm Credit’s service area or in Washington, D.C. The Foundation’s goal is to encourage and assist the next generation of agricultural professionals, ensuring that the industry continues to grow and innovate.
A new feature of this year’s program allows students to receive the scholarship up to four times. This means previous winners are welcome to reapply and may be selected again if they continue their studies in agriculture.
Applications are currently open and will be accepted until January 2, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be announced in April 2026, giving students time to plan their education finances for the upcoming school year.
Students are encouraged to visit the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement website to review eligibility details and submit applications. For any questions about the process, applicants can email info@fcfoundationforag.org.
By offering these significant awards, the Farm Credit Foundation reinforces its commitment to supporting future leaders in agriculture. The program helps students from rural communities and agricultural backgrounds achieve their educational goals while strengthening the future workforce of the farming industry.
