The Winter Ag Workshops are back for 2025, offering educators and agricultural enthusiasts the chance to expand their knowledge from the comfort of their homes.
Hosted via Zoom, this year’s series will run from February 3 - 7, 2025, featuring a new session and the option to attend live or on-demand.
Participants can earn up to 10 Act 48 hours, with each session providing one hour of credit. These workshops are open to all, making it a fantastic opportunity to incorporate agricultural concepts into the classroom.
Live sessions will take place from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST, allowing attendees to engage with expert speakers and ask questions in real-time. For those unable to attend live, on-demand access will be available until March 9, 2025.
The agenda covers a range of essential agricultural topics, presented by specialists from Penn State Extension:
- February 3 - Food Safety with Beth Kocsis
- February 4 - Grant Writing for Educators with Beth Kocsis
- February 5 - DCNR Educational Programs with Neal Fogle
- February 6 - Rain Gardens with Andy Yencha
- February 7 - Agricultural Biosecurity with Dr. Ernest Hovingh
