The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will host a series of Local Working Group meetings across Pennsylvania from February 23 through April 3, 2026. These sessions are open to the public and encourage community participation.
Local Working Groups are designed to gather input on agricultural and natural resource concerns at the community level. Attendees may include farmers, owners of nonindustrial private forestland, representatives from agricultural and environmental organizations, and officials from government agencies involved in conservation and land management programs.
These groups operate as subcommittees of the NRCS State Technical Committee and play an important role in shaping recommendations on local conservation priorities and Farm Bill program implementation. Their feedback helps ensure that federal conservation resources are directed toward the most pressing environmental and agricultural needs within each county.
For details about the State Technical Committee, contact Dayanna Barnes at Dayanna.Barnes@usda.gov. To view scheduled meeting dates and locations, visit the NRCS events webpage and filter by Pennsylvania, or reach out to your nearest USDA Service Center using the online locator tool.
