Pennsylvania Harvest Season Nearing Completion

According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service in Pennsylvania, there were 4.5 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday.

Topsoil moisture supplies were 12 percent very short, 7 percent short, and 81 percent adequate. Subsoil moisture supplies were 15 percent very short, 25 percent short, and 60 percent adequate.

The 2020 season is coming to an end. Apples harvested were reported at 98 percent and winter wheat planting was also 98 percent complete. Third-cutting of other hay was 96 perent.

Corn harvested for grain was 80 percent, while soybeans harvested was 93 percent.
