Crawford and Jefferson County Claim Top Jr. Market Swine Honors



Alaina Webster of Venango, Crawford County took home Grand Champion Jr. Market Swine honors in the 106th PA Farm Show Jr. Swine Show. Rylee Ewing of Punxatawny, Jefferson County competed in the showmanship portion of the show and earned the honor of Grand Champion Showman. She qualifies to compete in the Master Showmanship competition on Jan. 15.

Trent Stadtmiller of Armstrong County took home Reserve Champion Jr. Market Swine honors. Stadtmiller also claimed Reserve Champion Showman honors. He also qualifies to compete for Master Showman.

Judge Garry Childs of Georgia evaluated the swine based on their market value and overall appearance.

Showmanship Judge Jake Erceg evaluated the youth showmen based on their knowledge and ability to show their animals and present the animals' best characteristics.
