According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service in Pennsylvania, there were 6.0 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday.
Topsoil moisture supplies were 5 percent very short, 34 percent short, and 61 percent adequate. Subsoil moisture supplies were 1 percent very short, 23 percent short, and 76 percent adequate.
Second-cutting alfalfa hay was 27 percent. Barley maturity hit 94 percent compared to the five-year average of 84 percent.. Corn emerged was 99 perent. Soybeans planted was 93 percent with soybeans emerged at 84 percent.
