Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding joined dairy producers, exhibitors, and industry leaders at the All-American Dairy Show and Premier National Junior Show, held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.
The annual event attracts more than 1,000 youth and adult competitors from across the United States and Canada, showcasing excellence in dairy cattle breeding, management, and animal care.
This year’s event follows a major milestone for Pennsylvania agriculture: the announcement of a $1.2 billion investment by Chobani to establish its first dairy operation in the state.
The project is expected to create 900 jobs and increase demand for Pennsylvania-produced milk by approximately 30%, highlighting new opportunities for the state’s dairy sector.
“Pennsylvania is proud of our hardworking dairy farm families and the sacrifices and ingenuity they demonstrate to produce top-quality, nutritious products every day, all year long. The Commonwealth joins our proud dairy families in hosting their peers from across the nation to showcase excellence in dairy breeding and animal husbandry demonstrated by the best in the business today and by youth aspiring to fill their shoes tomorrow," said Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding.
"We are even more proud of the historic $1.2 billion investment the Shapiro Administration has fought to bring to Pennsylvania, demonstrating faith that our dairy industry is ready to grow and continue leading the nation,” Redding added.
The All-American Dairy Show features competitions involving seven dairy breeds and includes judging, showmanship, and dairy management contests that help develop future industry leaders. Youth participants from FFA chapters and collegiate programs across the country also compete and gain valuable experience.
Pennsylvania continues to support the dairy industry through significant investments included in the 2026-27 state budget. Funding includes support for the All-American Dairy Show, youth livestock exhibitions, and the Pennsylvania Center for Dairy Excellence, as well as promotional initiatives such as PA Preferred and Scooped: An Ice Cream Trail.
The Shapiro Administration has invested millions of dollars through agricultural research and innovation programs aimed at strengthening farm efficiency and production.
To date, 37 dairy-related projects have received nearly $4.9 million in Ag Innovation Grants, supporting technologies such as robotic milking systems, precision herd monitoring, nutrient management improvements, automation, and renewable energy projects.
A third round of grant funding remains available through October 9, 2026.
