Earth Day Open House at DEP's North-Central Office

On April 23 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection will open the doors of its North-central Regional Office to the public for an Earth Day Open House, allowing citizens of all ages to talk one-on-one with DEP staff, view educational displays and demonstrations, and sign up for a new opportunity to engage with DEP. A recycled rain barrel will be given to one lucky attendee.

Attendees will see live demonstrations of Enviroscape and groundwater models, radiation protection equipment, the DEP Falcon Cam, DEP mapping portals, aquarium and insect displays, FLIR cameras, and much more. DEP programs represented at the Earth Day Open House will include: Radiation Protection, Safe Drinking Water, Oil and Gas, Waste Management, Abandoned Mine Reclamation, Air Quality, Clean Water, Waterways and Wetlands, Environmental Cleanup and Brownfields, Energy Office, Environmental Education, Environmental Justice, the Office of Chief Counsel, and the Bureau of Investigations.

The DEP North-central Office serves the following counties: Bradford, Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Sullivan, Snyder, Tioga, and Union.

The DEP North-central Regional Office is located at 208 West Third Street, Suite 101, Williamsport.
