Rodale Institute will welcome farmers, researchers, agronomists, and agricultural professionals to its annual Organic Field Day on July 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT.
The free event, held at the institute’s 450-acre experimental farm, will showcase the latest findings from ongoing organic farming research and provide attendees with hands-on learning opportunities.
Visitors can explore nearly 20 educational and demonstration stations spread throughout the farm by walking or riding on wagons.
The event will feature research updates and practical demonstrations covering a wide range of organic agriculture topics, including beekeeping, no-till management, compost production, farming systems, pastured hog production, organic orchards, and the use of drones in agriculture.
The program will also include consulting-led field tours, equipment demonstrations, and presentations from keynote speakers Hayley and Stephanie Painter of Painterland Sisters. Artist in Residence Greg Skutches will also participate in the event.
Admission is free for all attendees, and a complimentary breakfast will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch or purchase food available on-site. Advance registration is required to attend this event at https://rodaleinstitute.org/events/organic-field-day-2/
