Topsoil moisture supplies were 10 percent very short, 41 percent short, 45 percent adequate, and 4 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were 13 percent very short, 42 percent short, 44 percent adequate, and 1 percent surplus.
Pennsylvania fall tillage was 13 percent complete, just ahead of 2021's 10 percent but behind the 5-year average of 16 percent.
Peaches harvested reached 70 percent, behind 73 percent last year and the 5-year average of 84 percent.
Pennsylvania tobacco cut was nearing completion at 95 percent.
