This interdisciplinary effort brings together researchers and extension professionals to solve real-world problems related to food production, environmental sustainability, and community health. Faculty and extension educators will also cover topics including animal health, invasive species, and agricultural careers.
Guided research tours will take visitors into the center’s fields to learn about Penn State’s latest studies in pond management, organic vegetables, livestock, and forest management. Most tours will be bus-based and led by experts.
Youth and Family Activities
Children and families can enjoy hands-on activities in the 4-H Youth Building, including exhibits on dairy products, poultry, and rabbits. Additional attractions include a butterfly house, corn maze, wildlife exhibits from Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center, and the interactive Pasto Museum.
