Northeast Farmers to Gain Insights at Organic Virtual Event

By Blake Jackson

Farmers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic will have the chance to expand their knowledge and discover new strategies at the Growing Our Region: Northeast Organic Farming Symposium, a free virtual event taking place December 16-17.

The two-day symposium, organized by leading organic agriculture organizations and supported by the Transition to Organic Partnership Program, is geared toward both established organic farmers and those transitioning to organic practices.

The event will feature a series of hour-long webinars covering intermediate to advanced topics, all grounded in research, innovation, and real-world production challenges relevant to the region.

Presenters include researchers, technical advisors, and experienced producers who will share practical insights into effective methods and current trends in organic farming.

Participants can expect sessions that address issues such as improving soil health, managing pests naturally, enhancing crop resilience, and optimising farm systems for sustainability.

Whether you are fine-tuning existing operations, seeking solutions to ongoing challenges, or exploring new opportunities in organic production, the symposium provides valuable, research-based information and a chance to engage with peers across the regional organic community.

Registration details are available on the Northeast Organic Farming Symposium website.
