The Pennsylvania Farm Show is an annual event that showcases the best of Pennsylvania agriculture. But what goes on behind the scenes?
The Friends of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Foundation is a critical partner in creating the annual Farm Show. The foundation provides funding for educational exhibits, awards, and events. They also help to manage the competitive events entry system and create the annual Farm Show Visitor's Guide.
Foundation Events
The foundation sponsors a variety of events throughout the Farm Show, including the Learning Stations and the AgExplorer program. The Learning Stations are interactive exhibits that teach visitors about different aspects of agriculture. The AgExplorer program is a scavenger hunt that helps children learn about agriculture in a fun and engaging way.
Fundraising
The foundation raises money through a variety of events, including the Mike Waugh Celebrity Feed Scurry. This event features local celebrities and legislators competing in a timed event, driving a team of draft horses pulling a sled through an obstacle course.
