Pennsylvania Corn and Soybeans Mostly Good to Excellent



According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service in Pennsylvania, there were 5.5 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday.

Topsoil moisture supplies were 37 percent short, 58 percent adequate, and 5 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were 45 percent short and 55 percent adequate.

The Pennsylvania corn condition was rated 8 percent poor, 25 percent fair, 40 percent good and 27 percent excellent.

The soybean crop was 11 percent poor, 31 percent fair, 49 percent good and 9 percent excellent.

Pennsylvania pastures were 8 percent very poor, 10 percent poor, 25 percent fair, 50 percent good and 7 percent excellent.
