Grape growers, wine producers, educators, researchers, and industry professionals will come together for the 2025 Pennsylvania Wine and Grape Industry Conference at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College on February 26 and 27.
The conference, hosted by the Pennsylvania Wine Marketing and Research Program, the Pennsylvania Winery Association, and Penn State Extension, will serve as a key event for education and networking in the state's wine and grape industry.
The Pennsylvania Winery Association’s annual meeting will take place on February 25, prior to the conference.
Over two days, attendees will have access to a range of educational sessions. Topics will include enology and winemaking practices, such as oxygen management, wine longevity, terroir identification, and the influence of native yeast and microbiomes on wine sensory properties.
Viticulture sessions will cover Penn State’s latest updates on vineyard management, disease resistance, and vineyard nutrition. Business and marketing sessions will also be offered, focusing on ways to enhance and promote Pennsylvania’s grape and wine production.
Additionally, eligible participants can earn Pennsylvania Pesticide Recertification Training Credits from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) by attending specific technical sessions during the conference (pending PDA approval).
This conference provides a valuable opportunity for professionals in the grape and wine industry to learn, connect, and support the continued growth of Pennsylvania’s wine sector.
