The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau (PFB) State Board of Directors has named Glenn Stoltzfus as interim Vice President of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, effective immediately.
Stoltzfus will continue in the position until members hold an official election during the organization’s Annual Meeting, scheduled for November 15-17 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Stoltzfus takes over the vice president role after Tommy Nagle became PFB President following the resignation of former President Chris Hoffman on July 11.
“It’s extremely humbling to be appointed to serve in the role of Vice President,” Stoltzfus said. “I look forward to leading the policy development process this Fall.”
The upcoming Annual Meeting will include elections for both president and vice president. The elected president will serve a standard two-year term, while the vice president will serve a one-year term before returning to the organization’s regular two-year election cycle in 2027.
“I’d like to congratulate Glenn on his appointment to serve in the role of Vice President,” PFB President Tommy Nagle said. “I’m looking forward to moving the organization forward with Glenn and the Farm Bureau leadership experience he brings to the table.”
Stoltzfus operates Pennwood Farms LLC in Berlin with his three brothers. The 1,900-acre dairy farm includes approximately 700 cows. His agricultural expertise includes dairy heifer management, crop production, and compliance with CAFO and nutrient management regulations.
A longtime Farm Bureau leader, Stoltzfus previously served on the PFB State Board of Directors from 2011-2019 and returned in 2025. He has chaired the Pennsylvania State Dairy Committee and served on the organization’s executive committee.
In Somerset County, Stoltzfus has contributed to several agricultural and conservation organizations, including the Somerset County Conservation District ACAP Committee and Animal Health and Diagnostic Commission.
Stoltzfus has also been a strong advocate for Pennsylvania’s dairy industry, providing testimony to the Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board and continuing his work with PFB’s dairy committee.
Stoltzfus and his wife, Gail, have been married for 38 years and have seven children and seven grandchildren. Their family has also participated in foster care and adopted four children.
