Center for Dairy Excellence Announces New Customer Relations Specialist and Education Intern to Support Pennsylvania Dairy Industry

Center for Dairy Excellence Announces New Customer Relations Specialist and Education Intern to Support Pennsylvania Dairy Industry

The Center for Dairy Excellence has recently welcomed Allen Hess as their Customer Relations Specialist and Jordan Anderson as the 2023 education and communications intern. These appointments strengthen the team of dedicated professionals who provide essential resources and support to Pennsylvania dairy farms while developing impactful dairy education programs for students of all ages.

Allen Hess brings a wealth of experience and deep-rooted understanding of the dairy industry to his role. Growing up on a dairy and hog operation in Smithsburg, Maryland, and having spent seven years at Lanco-Pennland Dairy Cooperative, Hess has a strong connection with dairy producers and their needs. With his supportive personality and expertise in working with producers, Hess is poised to contribute significantly to serving dairy farm families throughout Pennsylvania. He is also actively involved in the All-American Dairy Show and holds positions as a Milking Shorthorn Breed Representative and Vice President of the All-American Dairy Show Board of Directors.

Jordan Anderson, a rising sophomore at the University of Wyoming, brings her enthusiasm and talent in ag communications to the Center. Having grown up on a farmette in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, and with a decade of experience in 4-H, Anderson is deeply rooted in the dairy industry. Her passion for photography and involvement in the Junior Holstein Association further demonstrate her commitment to the field. As Anderson embarks on projects supporting dairy farmers and educators across the state, her creativity and dedication are expected to shine. She has also achieved recognition as a Pennsylvania YDJM finalist, received the 2022 Art Nesbitt Scholarship, and will be representing her Dairy Bowl team at the national level.

The additions of Hess and Anderson complement the existing team at the Center for Dairy Excellence, which includes professionals specializing in dairy programs, operations, communications, marketing, risk management, accounting, workforce development, and dairy education. Together, they are committed to advancing the dairy industry and supporting its farmers.
