Ag Progress Days Offers Manure Management Training

Ag Progress Days Offers Manure Management Training

By Blake Jackson

This year’s Ag Progress Days will feature three Continuing Education Credit (CEC) sessions focused on Nutrient Management and Manure Hauler and Broker topics. All sessions are scheduled to take place in the West 9th Street meeting room.

Two of the sessions will be repeated to offer attendees flexibility. The first repeat session is set for Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the second will take place on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These sessions will address key issues such as road safety involving farm equipment, responding effectively to manure spills, and how to properly determine setbacks.

The third session, held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., will offer a deeper dive into manure management planning. This session will include live demonstrations highlighting the PaOneStop mapping tools, including the agricultural erosion and sediment (E&S) module and the newly updated manure management plan module.

These educational opportunities are ideal for those involved in nutrient application, manure transportation, or farm planning. For a full schedule of events and additional CEC offerings, be sure to visit the Ag Progress Days website. Don’t miss this chance to enhance your knowledge and stay up to date with industry best practices.
