2026 Pennsylvania Wine and Grape Industry Conference Set

2026 Pennsylvania Wine and Grape Industry Conference Set

By Blake Jackson

The annual Pennsylvania Wine and Grape Industry Conference will bring together grape growers, winery professionals, educators, and researchers from across Pennsylvania and the East Coast on February 25-26, 2026, at the Nittany Lion Inn in State College.

The event is organized by the Pennsylvania Wine Marketing and Research Program, the Pennsylvania Winery Association, and Penn State Extension. In addition, the Pennsylvania Winery Association will hold its annual meeting on February 24, ahead of the main conference.

This two-day conference offers technical education, industry updates, and valuable networking opportunities for those involved in grape production and winemaking.

The program will include sessions focused on enology and winemaking, such as hands-on wine blending, winery sanitation practices supported by Pennsylvania research, high-quality Riesling production with tastings, and updates on spotted lanternfly research.

Viticulture-focused sessions will cover vineyard management, nutrition research, insights from the 2025 growing season, water impacts on pesticide effectiveness, and presentations from experts across the region. Business, marketing, and operational topics including a session on incorporating artificial intelligence into winery and tasting room operations will also be part of the agenda.

Pending approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, eligible participants may earn pesticide recertification credits for attending designated technical sessions.
