Pennsylvania Corn and Soybeans Rate Mostly Good

According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service in Pennsylvania, there were 6.0 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday.

Topsoil moisture supplies were 19 percent short, 77 percent adequate, and 4 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were 19 percent short, 80 percent adequate, and 1 percent surplus.

Crop conditions included apples at 23 percent fair and 77 percent good, while peaches are 9 percent fair and 91 good.

Corn is rated 1 percent poor, 12 percent fair, 67 percent good and 20 percent excellent.

Pennsylvania soybeans are rated 1 percent poor, 12 percent fair, 69 percent good and 15 percent excellent.
