Farm Show Recognizes Best Commercial Exhibitors, Volunteers

Eight outstanding commercial exhibitors and volunteers were recognized for their contributions to a quality experience for visitors to the 102nd Pennsylvania Farm Show at the Commercial Exhibitors Breakfast.

Seven awards were given to different categories of commercial exhibitors, including Best Farm Equipment Display, Best Marketplace Display, Best Commercial Vendor (Display Only), Best Commercial Vendor (With Sales), Best Educational Display, Best Hospitality, and Most Unique.

Three judges roamed the halls of the Farm Show throughout the week, evaluating exhibits for how well they attracted and held attention, appearance, workmanship and originality.

The Gerald W. Reichard Memorial Impact Award was Gerri Moore, Chair of Family Living. The Reichard award is given to someone who had a large overall impact on the Farm Show. Reichard was a veteran and educator who helped at the Farm Show for many years and passed away in 2016.

Moore was congratulated on her long-time service and dedication to the Family Living Department including the creation of new competitions, expansion of the section, and running of the chocolate cake and other major competitions.

Best Farm Equipment Display: Valley Ag & Turf, LLC.

Best Marketplace Display: Hillbilly's Jerky, Shenna L. Hockenberry

Best Commercial Vendor (Display Only): Torchbearer Sauces LLC, David Lynch, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Co.

Best Commerical Vendor (With Sales): The Star Barn Village at Stone Gables Estate, Palmyra, Lebanon Co.

Best Educational Display: PA Dept of Health Bureau of Women Infants & Children, Harrisburg, Dauphin Co.

Best Hospitality: Northeast Stihl

Most Unique: Pottery by Keaton, Steven Keaton, Elliotsburg, Perry Co.
