Pennsylvania Cherries, Apples in Bloom

Pennsylvania had another fair week for field activities with an average of 4 days suitable for field work. Temperatures were reported with a high of 88F, a low of 26F and a state average temperature of 57F. Some areas around the state saw up to 3.5 inches of precipitation.

Cherries, apples and peaches are in full bloom.

Some vegetables have been planted around the state using plastic.

Fair weather provided limited opportunities for field work, spraying, spreading manure and preparation for planting were the main activities for the week.
