Pennsylvania Layers Down 1 Percent

Pennsylvania egg production totaled 696.6 million during January 2019, down 1 percent from last year. Production included 665.3 million table eggs, and 31.3 million hatching eggs.
The total number of layers during January 2019 averaged about 28.0 million, down 1 percent from last year.
January egg production per 100 layers was 2,492 eggs, down 1 percent from January 2018.
