Applications Sought for MOSES Executive Director Position
USAgNet - 07/08/2020
The Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service is now taking applications for a new executive director. MOSES board members say the ideal candidate should have the ability to support a collaborative work environment and be able to maximize the
organization's respected standing in the organic community.
The incoming director must have a personal or professional connection to organic/sustainable farming in order to understand the concerns of the group's constituents and credibly represent the organization. They will be responsible for working in close
partnership with the group's 10-member board of directors and nine-member staff to ensure that the organization is fiscally sound and that its programs, policy work, and communications meet the needs and interests of organic farmers, allied organizations, and
other stakeholders.
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required to apply for the position.
The deadline for applications is August 14 or until position is filled. The winning applicant will replace Lauren Langworthy, who has accepted another role outside the organization and is leaving at the end of the summer.
MOSES, which conducts the nation's largest organic conference each January, is headquartered in Spring Valley. For more information or to submit an application, call 408-979-0572.
